Between 160 and 180 cats might have to be put down. Oklahoma City Police and animal control made two bizarre discoveries inside an Oklahoma City home.
47-year-old Bobby Dudley was booked into the Oklahoma County jail Thursday night. His arrest came after someone called complaining about too many cats at his home. Animal control officers found more than 100 cats. Some were actually wedged in between the windows and a piece of plywood.
That wasn't the only discovery. Police say also found about 100 pounds of marijuana and marijuana plants.
The Oklahoma City animal shelter took in the cats, but can't help them all. Steve Lira with Oklahoma City Animal Welfare: “There is illness in the majority of them. We're trying our best to do the medical checks and decide which are placable and which aren't. Unfortunately the ones that are sick we will have to euthanize them.â€
One puppy was also in the group. It's apparently healthy. He'll be available for adoption soon.
