Tulsa Public Schools will expand its full day kindergarten program to the whole district by next fall.
Full-day kindergarten programs are currently paid for with federal funds. Tulsa Schools will start picking up the bill for the current programs next year. That's the first step to bringing full-day kindergarten to the whole district.
It's welcome news for parents. Plus teachers say it gives kids a leg up in learning.
