(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Attorney General Drew Edmondson is asking the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals to set an execution date for the killer of an Edmond woman.
Jimmy Ray Slaughter is to be put to death for the 1991 killings of his ex-girlfriend and their 1-year-old daughter.
Edmondson says the US Supreme Court has denied Slaughter's final appeal.
Slaughter was convicted of killing 29-year-old Melody Sue Wuertz and 1-year-old Jessica Wuertz.
