A Green Country family is celebrating a military homecoming. Brent Wright is a Lieutenant Colonel with the 138th fighter wing.

He's an Air Force JAG officer and has been in Iraq and away from his son Sam for months. Wednesday, dad returned home and he's ready to make up for lost time.

Lt Col Brent Wright: "The family, of course my son. Yeah I missed a lot of things. Now I'm back and can enjoy those."

Brentâ€™s son Sam Wright: "He's safe. I know that."

Although it was tough being apart, technology helped. A service through Sam's school helped Wright keep up with his son's schoolwork.

Wright also says along with his family, he missed home cooked meals.
