(Grove-AP) -- A closed battery manufacturing plant in northeastern Oklahoma will reopen with up to 200 workers.
A joint venture between EaglePicher Incorporated and Horizon Batteries Incorporated to reopen the plant was announced Wednesday.
The venture called EaglePicher Horizon plans to invest several million dollars and restart production this fall.
EaglePicher chief operating officer Mike Reed says the Grove plant will allow the company to increase production of batteries for the trucking industry and lift trucks.
