(Tulsa-AP) -- Former Tulsa Tribune publisher Jenkin Lloyd Jones senior has died.

Jones' son, David Jones, says Jones died Tuesday morning at his home in Tulsa of natural causes. He was 92.

Jones' father bought the Tulsa Democrat in 1919 and changed the name to the Tribune. The newspaper folded in 1992 when a joint operating agreement with the Tulsa World collapsed.

David Jones says a memorial service will be Friday morning at 11 at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa.
