(Red Oak-AP) -- Officials are investigating a possible murder-suicide at a northern Latimer County home.

Authorities say a 53-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman were found dead Saturday.

Latimer County Sheriff Melvin Holly says the two were not married, but had dated in the past. He says the woman had apparently broken off the relationship, but the man had bought her a Valentine's Day gift.

Police say the female victim was shot three times and the man was shot once under the chin.

The medical examiner ruled the shootings a murder-suicide.
