ConocoPhillips says it will end its business dealings in countries the US government says are linked to terrorism.

The company will stop operations in Syria and Iran. Philips Petroleum was based in Bartlesville until 2002 when it merged with Conoco.

ConocoPhillips is the nation's third largest oil company.
