A Tulsa landmark is for sale. The HL Moss Company at 15th and Utica closed the end of December and now all the remaining inventory is up for sale, including that big herford steer perched out front.
News on 6 reporter Rick Wells was over there Monday and explains on how we can take it home.
Not everyone can tell you where the H L Moss Company is but nearly everyone has seen that big steer. And as you say it's for sale along with the horse that stands next to it, everything else in the HL Moss inventory is on the block too.
But the big stir is about the big steer. Al Forrester, HL Moss liquidator: "Quite a bit of interest in the steer. Some of them are talking about putting it on ranches. Some of them talking about maybe some local business, some of them from out of town."
That steer's been on that corner since the early 70's before that at the Sizzlin' Stockade out at 21st and Sheridan. The asking price is $3,000, but of course that's negotiable. Oh, and whoever buys it has to take it down and haul it off.
The steer, the horse and everything else go on sale beginning Wednesday morning at 10. They've got three days to sell everything, what an opportunity.
