(Eufaula-AP) -- The state Medical Examiner's Office in Tulsa says a Eufaula councilman found dead in his home was killed by a gunshot wound to the head.

The body of 67-year-old Larry Nichols was found January 27th by members of his church after he failed to show up for services.

The death is being investigated as a homicide and Eufaula police are looking for a man and woman for questioning.

Acting Police Chief Charles Hammett says the couple was seen in an older model, multi-colored Chevrolet pickup.

The two are described only as white with medium builds and the man had shoulder length blond hair.
