More bad news for Oklahoma's economy. The Kwikset manufacturing plant announced Thursday morning, it’s closing its facility in Bristow.

Kwikset is part of the Black and Decker Corporation and says the work will move to other facilities not yet named. The plant is Creek County's largest employer and has been in the area for 22 years.

Kwikset says about 825 jobs will be eliminated, but all affected employees will be given 60 days notice and will be offered severance packages and outplacement assistance.

They say the move should be completed by 2005.
