Former mob informant Stephen "The Rifleman" Flemmi was sentenced to life in prison Tuesday.

As part of a plea agreement to avoid the death penalty, 69 year old Flemmi admitted to killing 10 people, including Tulsa businessman Roger Wheeler in 1981.

Prosecutors made the deal in exchange for Flemmi fingering former FBI agent Paul Rico as an integral part of Wheeler's murder. Rico was brought to Tulsa to face charges, but died at a Tulsa hospital January 16th.

The State Medical Examiner is still looking into his death.
