An accident in east Tulsa sent at least three people to the hospital. The accident happened right around 10 PM Sunday at the Interstate-244, I-44 split.

Authorities say a car headed eastbound on I-44 suddenly cut across the grass and hit a second vehicle going westbound. And the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says they know why. OHP trooper Tyler Jack: â€œThere is alcohol found in the vehicle so that's what we're kind of putting our bet on for a reason for crossing the center line."

There's no word on the condition of those injured in the accident.
