A Green Country family is celebrating their hero's homecoming Tuesday. Private First Class Christopher Wanless with the 101st Airborne returned from his one-year tour of duty in Iraq Tuesday.
His mom, grandma, and grandpa were all there waiting for him. Wanless is a helicopter mechanic who says he cannot wait for some home cooking. “I'm tired of Army food. Home cooking is what I missed the most."
Chris is home for 30 days. His mom asked what he wanted for dinner Tuesday and he said definitely not chicken.
