(Vinita-AP) -- An ambulance service that was to begin operating January 1st in Craig County has halted operations because it isn't able to meet state requirements.
A county commissioner says Wadsworth's Ambulance Service failed to get a state license primarily because of inadequate staffing.
Commissioner Roy Bible says Remo Ambulance Service of Big Cabin will change from a volunteer service to a full-staff service to serve the county.
Bible also says county voters will be asked in May to approve a sales tax increase to pay for a county ambulance service.
