(Tulsa-AP) -- It's a week before Christmas, and Skelly Stadium is unusually busy.
Tulsa is still practicing for the first time in 12 years.
The Golden Hurricane began practicing Thursday for their January 3rd game against Georgia Tech in the Humanitarian Bowl. It's Tulsa's first bowl game since winning the Freedom Bowl in 1991.
The Boise, Idaho, game's late date means Tulsa will have two key players back from injuries -- quarterback James Kilian and running back Uril Parrish.
Kilian was knocked out with a broken left collarbone early in the Golden Hurricane's 34-to-32 win over San Jose State November 22nd.
Parrish tore a ligament in his knee in Tulsa's November 1st win over Texas El-Paso. He is the team's third-leading rusher with 537 yards on 100 carries.
