We could be paying even more at the pump to improve Oklahoma roads. Republican Senator Robert Milacek is pushing a proposal that would put a gasoline tax increase before voters in 2004.

Milacek wants to raise the gasoline tax from 17-cents per gallon to 22-cents per gallon over several years.

He says it will generate $145-million a year for Oklahoma's road system.
