(Oklahoma City-AP) -- At least six people have died of the flu in Oklahoma this year and state health officials are now calling the outbreak an epidemic.
One victim was 14 months old, three were elderly and the other two were 13 and 28.
State Health Commissioner Doctor Mike Crutcher says the number of flu cases across the state is rising steadily and there's no evidence the flu season has reached its peak.
Crutcher says some county health departments are already out of flu vaccines and others will probably be out by the end of the week.
Crutcher says those in high risk groups such as the elderly and those with chronic health problems, should seek the flu vaccine through medical providers that still have supplies.
