While you're out shopping this holiday season, be sure to join the News on 6 to help make the season brighter for the less fortunate.

Stop by the Salvation Army's Angel Tree at Woodland Hills or Eastland Mall and ‘Adopt an Angel.’ Each one represents a needy child, senior citizen or disabled person.

So far this year, more than 5,200 angels have been adopted. But there are hundreds left. All you have to do is pick a name, shop and then return your gift to the tree.
