A Tulsa Public School guard is recovering from a run-in with a couple of would be burglars.

The break-in happened shortly after five o'clock Thursday morning. Security at the Education Service Center was alerted to the break-in at the Tulsa Classroom Teachers Association offices across the street at 3900 East 31st Street.

A security guard went to check it out and interrupted the burglary, but found himself outnumbered. Tulsa Police Corporal BC Leonard: “The security guard got jumped as he tried to take them into custody and uh, after being assaulted the suspects left in a white BMW westbound on 31st.”

The suspects did get away, but didn't take anything. The only real damage was some broken glass on the front door.

The security guard will be okay.
