Prosecutors say they will try for the death penalty for 17-year-old Darrel Ray Miller.
He's charged with murder and three other shootings during robberies. Prosecutors say Miller is a continuing threat to society.
They say he killed clerk Stanley Paul Silkey in order to avoid prosecution.
Co-defendant Heather Sanders has already pleaded guilty to robbery and accessory. Under the plea agreement she'll be charged as a "youthful offender" and will receive a 10-year sentence.
