US Senator Jim Inhofe has released his long-awaited detailed plan for cleanup of the Tar Creek area in northeast Oklahoma.

The report was criticized by residents of the Ottawa County superfund site before it was ever made public, but environmental staffers say the proof of Senator Inhofe's commitment to the area, will be in the plan's execution.

For the first time in Tar Creek's 20-year superfund history, federal and state scientists are working together on a comprehensive solution.
