The regular college football season is still a week away from ending and there is a Big 12 championship game to play.

Yet, Sooner fans are already Sugar-shocked over going to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl. Several Oklahoma City area travel agencies are already taking calls on Sugar Bowl packages.

Travel agents say there are benefits to signing up for a package versus booking your trip separately. You'll already have tickets to the game and hotel rooms in the prime spots before they're all gone. Ron Perry with Primetime Travel: "if in fact, USC or Ohio State comes along, the demand for those rooms could really escalate. You know what you've got and you've got it now.â€

With many travel agencies, your deposit is 100% refundable if the Sooners don't make it all the way.

And, on a side note, right now on eBay, tickets to the Sugar Bowl range from $500 to $1,000 apiece.
