(Oklahoma City-AP) -- No early Christmas shopping this weekend for nearly 4,600 state employees. They're not getting their paychecks this week.
State officials blame the problem on a glitch in the state's new, multi-million dollar computer system.
Tim Allen with the state Treasurer's Office says it'll be Monday before the employee's checks are electronically deposited in their banks.
Allen says the Treasurer's Office is offering to call the banks and explain the situation and to ask that the banks not bounce checks written by employees anticipating their checks.
The problem was first noticed Thursday when about a dozen workers at the state Labor Department didn't get their paychecks electronically deposited.
