(Tulsa-AP) -- Tulsa-based Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group is reporting earnings of $21.4-million in the third quarter.

The car rental group said Wednesday the earnings amount to 84 cents per share.

The company earned $21.2-million, or 85 cents per share during the third quarter a year ago.

Dollar president and chief executive says the company benefited from better prices and a strong increase in summer travel business.
