(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A Red Flag Fire Alert was issued Wednesday for 52 counties in Oklahoma.
The alert includes all but north-central and northeastern Oklahoma.
Also, Cimarron County in the Panhandle remains under a burn ban.
The state Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry says warm, windy and dry conditions have created an unusually high fire danger.
Counties included in the alert are Alfalfa, Atoka, Beaver, Beckham, Blaine, Bryan, Caddo, Canadian, Carter, Choctaw, Cleveland, Coal, Comanche, Cotton, Custer, Dewey, Ellis, Garvin, Grady, Greer, Harmon, Harper, Haskell, Hughes, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnston, Kiowa, Latimer, LeFlore, Love, McClain, McCurtain, McIntosh, Major, Marshall, Murray, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Pittsburg, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie, Pushmataha, Roger Mills, Seminole, Sequoyah, Stephens, Texas, Tillman, Washita, Woods and Woodward.
