Former Oklahoma Congressman Tom Coburn has confirmed he has undergone surgery and treatment for colon cancer. And Coburn says his prognosis is good.

He made the announcement on Book TV to promote his book "Break of Trust.â€ Itâ€™s about his six years in Congress.

Coburn retired from the US House in 2000.
