Fire Investigators are searching for a suspect in a string of car arsons early Friday morning.

Three cars went up in flames within minutes, all within a mile of each other. The first at 23rd and Urbana. The next at 21st and Louisville. And the third car arson was reported at 20th and Lakewood.

Investigators have some leads - but not the final piece of information they need to make an arrest. News on 6 reporter Emory Bryan says the suspect they're searching for is a serial arsonist, who is now connected to at least 27 car fires over the last year.

All the fires have similarities that tie them to a single person. Fire Investigators believe the arsonist started at least 27 - and maybe as many as 50 car fires in Tulsa. Every car has been heavily damaged and in several cases, houses near the cars have burned as well.

The Tulsa Fire Department hopes that someone with information will call them at the arson hotline - that's 596-2776. There's a cash reward for information. The arson fires have all started between 2 AM and 5 AM.

Investigators hope someone who saw anything during that time will give them a call.
