(Stillwater-AP) -- Since Oklahoma State's season-opening loss to Nebraska, the Cowboys have barely broken a sweat in wins over Wyoming, Southwest Missouri State and SMU.
Louisiana-Lafayette this weekend will bring a close to their non-conference slate.
But the Cowboys know those contests aren't the ones their season will be judged by.
The Cowboys are beginning to hint that they're ready for bigger challenges, like Number 16 Kansas State on October 11th. Number 1 Oklahoma and Number 13 Texas are also on the slate.
Coach Les Miles says he thinks the team has improved but doesn't know to what extent.
The Cowboys know some questions won't be answered until they play Kansas State, a team that beat them 44-to-9 last season.
