The trial for a man accused of shooting a store clerk last Christmas Eve is underway.

Alvin Elliott is the first of three accused men to stand trial for the murder. Elliott is charged with murdering and robbing Mohammad Qureshi at the U-Stop on Mohawk Boulevard.

Kelvin Ford and Markis Rogers are also charged in the case, they will be tried separately.
