TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ The LPGA Tour's Oklahoma stop will take place at a new location next year.

The John Q. Hammons Hotel Classic will be held at Cedar Ridge Country Club in Broken Arrow, the site of the 1983 U.S. Women's Open, organizers announced Monday.

The event had been held since its debut three years ago at the Tulsa Country Club.

``The LPGA players who have played the course like it,'' said Cleve Stubblefield, Cedar Ridge Country Club's general manager. ``Both the course and the LPGA Tour have matured since we hosted the U.S. Women's Open in 1983 and we are looking forward to seeing how the course holds up.''

Hotel owner John Q. Hammons and his Renaissance Tulsa Hotel and Convention Center signed a two-year contract extension during this year's tournament to keep the LPGA in the Tulsa area.

Cedar Ridge is about four miles from the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel, the official tournament hotel.

The 2004 John Q. Hammons Hotel Classic is scheduled for Sept. 6-12.
