(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A chain of mobile care companies based in Oklahoma City has been sued by the US Department of Labor to recover $41,809 in unpaid overtime pay for 56 current and former vehicle maintenance workers.
The lawsuit names Mobile Care of OKC Incorporated, Mobile Care of Tulsa Incorporated, Mobile Care of Broken Arrow Incorporated and Mobile Care of Edmond Incorporated, as well as the companies' owner, Mark Larson.
The lawsuit alleges violations of the minimum wage, overtime and record keeping provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. It seeks back wages from January First, 2000, to November 16th, 2002.
Officials say an investigation revealed that the company did not pay employees overtime at time and one-half their regular rate of pay for hours worked in excess of 40 per week.
