McALESTER, Okla. (AP) _ A McAlester man was found dead in his bedroom Monday morning and his roommate was arrested a few hours later in the dead man's car near the Texas state line.

David F. Secondo, 39, was found face down in a pool of blood at about 3 a.m. Monday at the home he shared with at least three other people, including Jimmy D. Snowden.

Snowden, 42, was arrested on a complaint of public intoxication at about 5:35 a.m. Monday, after police found him sitting in the passenger seat of a car that had been driven off state Highway 78 and hit a telephone box near Yuba, about 17 miles south of Durant.

Secondo owned the black 1989 Dodge Daytona Snowden was found in.

Snowden is being held for questioning in connection with Secondo's death.

Police found Secondo in a pool of blood with blunt trauma to the upper portion of his body, said McAlester Police Chief Dale Nave.

The state medical examiner is still investigating the cause of the death.
