Murder charges have been filed against an Ottawa County woman in the drowning death of her 17-month-old son.

The boy's body was found floating face down by a fisherman in the Spring River on Friday. Prosecutor say Toni Torres confessed she drowned the boy, saying a higher power told her to do it.

They say Torres led the child and a 10-year-old boy to the river. The boy turned back, and was helped by some fishermen. He is now in protective custody.
