A woman is recovering after a tire smashed through her car window near the 200 Block North and 89th East Avenue.

The tire broke loose off of a truck, rolled down a hill, bounced off a bridge and then slammed into the windshield. Tulsa Police Sgt Rick Helberg: "The driver actually came down the hill looking for his tire. He had no idea what had happened and then saw his tire in the car and figured it out and called for help."

The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital for cuts. Police say they are lucky the injury wasn't any worse.
