(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The Oklahoma Energy Resources Board will donate $1-million to Oklahoma schools.

The money will be used to buy materials for science classrooms.

School districts will have to complete a 1-page form to request their share of the money. Districts should begin receiving application forms in September and check distribution will start the following month.

OERB spokeswoman Kristi Allison says the money will be divided among the districts based mostly on student enrollment.

The OERB is a group of oil and gas producers in the state.
