(Houston-AP) -- One of Baylor University's top basketball recruits says he wants the school to release him from his national letter of intent.
Center Tyron Nelson says he's interested in attending Oklahoma or Georgia Tech and will contact the schools immediately.
Nelson told a Houston television station he wants to leave Baylor since the coach is now gone.
Coach Dave Bliss resigned on Friday and Baylor president Robert Sloan placed the program on probation for at least two years.
Sloan is also offering to allow any player to transfer after an investigation revealed two players had their scholarships paid for by a third party and the basketball staff knew but didn't report drug use by players.
Baylor has also been rocked by a murder charge against one player in the death of another.
