One person was killed in an accident that shut down a portion of I-44 east of Tulsa Wednesday evening. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a truck lost control and crossed the median near 193rd East Avenue.
A car heading eastbound hit it. The driver of the car was killed. The truck’s driver was taken to a hospital.
One direction of traffic had to be closed for more than an hour to clear the scene.
