A man accused of decapitating his mother and stepfather has been found competent to stand trial.
A Tulsa County District Court judge has ruled Darren Ellis can help in his defense against two counts of first-degree murder. The mutilated bodies of Margaret and Troy Hefley were found in their Broken Arrow apartment.
Police found them after getting a 911 call from a man who said he just killed his parents. Ellis' preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 12th.
