State School Superintendent Sandy Garrett announced the 12 finalists for the Oklahoma Teacher of the Year award Thursday and three teachers from our area made the list.

Cindy Ball from Muskogee's Sadler Arts Academy. Robin Dyer from North Elementary in Bixby, and Eric Fox who teaches at Jenks High School, have been selected as finalists.

The winner will be announced this fall during a ceremony at the Oklahoma State Fair in Oklahoma City.
