Extreme heat is getting the blame for a water main break near 7th and Memorial Monday afternoon.

Witnesses say they heard a loud boom, and then water started gushing out of the ground. It shot as high as 60 feet into the air.

Tulsa city crews spent hours to fix the break, which left many people in the area without water.
