No one was injured when a small plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Okmulgee County, just west of Beggs Wednesday morning.

The call went out around 8:15 AM. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the Cessna 172's engine failed, prompting the pilot to make a hard landing. Both he and the passenger walked away without injuries.

The damage to the plane was minor.
