Tulsa Police say a man accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death last week had a history of violence.

Records show six different women filed protective orders against Mark McCorkle since 1994. They claimed he hit, slapped, punched and threatened to kill them. One woman says he beat her just two days after she'd given birth to his daughter.

Felecia Collins Correia with DVIS, "This individual had a number of protective orders and violations. If bundled together, they'd been treated as a felony. This is what happens when abusers aren't held accountable."

McCorkle was arrested last Friday for the death of his girlfriend Leslie Lamborn. She'd been stabbed repeatedly.
