The Tulsa Children's Chorus is sponsoring the third annual "Choral Festival for Kids" at Kendall-Whittier Elementary.
The program teaches kids voice, percussion, choral music and jazz. Program Director Ginny Ledoux says it gives kids a chance to learn about music in a way they might not get to in school.
Ginny Ledoux with Tulsa Children's Chorus, "Due to alot of the cuts in the music program, kids don’t get the opportunity to express themselves chorally, musically, and you think about children, their voice is all they have, this is something they're born with, and alot of them never learn how to correctly produce a vocal sound."
But Ledoux says the children are in good hands, with a team of music pros showing them the basics.
You can see the kids in action at this Friday night at Kendall-Whittier. Their program starts at 7 PM.
