Catoosa - Two Claremore men were killed Sunday when the vehicle they were riding in went off the road, flipped end over end and crashed into a tree.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 43-year-old James Robert Keaton and 43-year-old Robert Lyndell Burrows died at the scene of the crash just after midnight on State Highway 266 in Rogers County.
Keaton lost control of the vehicle when he tried to stop at a four-way stop sign. Troopers say the vehicle went off the road and airborne for more than 130 feet, flipping end over end.
It landed on its top, then went airborne again and smacked into a tree about 15 feet off the ground.
