OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A police chase through north Oklahoma City ended in a cul-de-sac in another county.
Timothy Kinchion Sr. and Jackie Gene Nash Jr. were arrested following the 30-minute pursuit Wednesday, which aired live on local television.
The chase started about 5 p.m. at Interstate 44 and Pennsylvania Avenue, police Sgt. Vanessa Price said.
The driver of a car refused to stop for a police officer in a patrol car and sped east on the interstate, Price said.
Someone inside the car tossed items out of the car during the pursuit, she said. Police officers allegedly recovered some cocaine in the car, Price said.
The chase, which topped speeds of 90 mph, ended about 5:30 p.m. at NE 122 Street and Rambling Oaks Road in Lincoln County east of Jones.
The driver pulled off at a cul-de-sac and stopped in a clump of weeds near a wooded area. Two men fled and were chased down by officers on foot.
