You may want to pay closer attention to your Oklahoma car tags. Starting this month, the Oklahoma Tax Commission will no longer send out a notice letting you know when your tag has to be renewed.
Instead, alerts will go out only to those motorists who didn't renew on time, but are still in the grace period. It's an attempt by the state to save money. A tax commission spokeswoman tells us the state spends about $700,000 each year mailing out notices.
Tag agencies are being notified about the change right now.
