We all know how Mondays can be, and this one got off to a rough start for a Tulsa dog.

Buff, a yellow lab, ventured a little too far on a morning walk with his owners and became stuck in some concrete in a drainage culvert near 96th and Riverside Drive. The Tulsa Fire Department came to his rescue, using various tools to free him.

Buff seemed glad to see them. Kent Bogart, Buff's owner: "Like a lab will do, he decided he would try to find some critters in that area and swam back in there and got stuck and that's what we ran into.”

Buff's owners had high praise for the firemen, who said it was one of their happier rescues.

Buff is no doubt enjoying a nap by now after all the excitement.
