(Chandler-AP) -- More than 300 members of an Oklahoma Army National Guard unit based in Chandler have been ordered to active duty.
The call-up is in support of the operation against terrorism in the United States.
The soldiers are from the First Battalion, 160th Artillery.
State National Guard spokesman Colonel Pat Scully says the artillery battalion received mobilization orders last week that will place it on active duty in Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana.
Scully says the mobilization will take place until May 24th when the unit is transferred to Fort Hood, Texas, for further training.
