Owasso Police officer bitten by police dog

An Owasso police officer is being treated at an area hospital after a police dog bit him following a truck chase. <br><br>The officer had chased a stolen truck to 44th Street North and Cincinnati in Tulsa.

An Owasso police officer is being treated at an area hospital after a police dog bit him following a truck chase.

The officer had chased a stolen truck to 44th Street North and Cincinnati in Tulsa. The suspect bailed and when police caught up with him, the officer got bit on the forearm.

Officers believe the dog probably bit the officer because at that point he was protecting his handler.
